Snippets
---1/24/24--- "Wheat is Everywhere" was a theme I wanted to use in an rpg game, but it ended up sounding way too much like farming sim music...
---4/7/24--- "Driftshot Title Theme" is the main title theme for driftshot! Composed using my first purchace of a Roland VA Soundscape
---2/27/24--- "Goodbye-gons" is a simple song about saying goodbye to a new friend who also happens to be a sentient polygon living inside of a computer screen.
Completed Songs -- Showcase
---5/9/24--- "Cybergarden" was originally a song I composed to practice with compressors, but it turned into a level theme for Driftshot after deciding it was too polished for me not to use it anywhere.
---1/21/24--- I really wanted to write an emotional song for an opening cutscene while also sticking to a feeling of dread. "What Happened" is what came out of that, and I consider it one of my better songs, at least compositionally.
---1/10/24--- "Ascension of Light" is one of two final battle tracks from Come Hell or Holy Water. This is the "Celestial" version, where a character ascends to become a boss battle for the other players. To account for this I shoved as many metal guitars into it as possible.
---11/29/23--- "Ashenfall -- [Grey Rain]" This song plays the role of meloncholic "winter theme". Although the truth behind the snowy landscape is that white ash has fallen from the sky and covered the earth in a post apocalyptic setting. So yeah... not super happy.
---1/28/24--- "Battle Against the Sparking Ghost" is an RPG battle theme I made for a conceptual fight where you have to face off against a stage-hogging spirit!
---11/28/23--- "Club Spook" is a club for freaky geeks and monstrous ghouls to hang out and dance all night long. The funky music reflects this and plays in the background of the club!
First Song: Where it all started
When I was a kid --like a little one-- I took an interest in piano. I got some lessons, learned how to play. I liked to pick out songs I heard in games and even tried to compose and write down my own songs in an old ELA book I had from school... and to this day I'm still an amateur at piano ('0>0) .
(Still practicing tho)
The end of my junior year, I decided to purchase a DAW called FL Studio and actually play around with composing. It didn't last super long, as I had already been deep into a RPG maker project and was distracted by outside school and work.
"Crystal Railway" was the result of this. It was me trying to make a real song using soundfonts and samples "just likeToby Fox and Yousuke Yasui".
Although it was just a case of "Pillbird See, Pillbird Do." ---just replicating what I heard in other songs--- it was technically the start of my...
